  • Scientists from Austria and Italy have developed self-cleaning paint - one of the world's most useful innovations. It also chemically breaks-down air pollutants. And the paint is longer lasting. Here's what we know:
  • European scientists have developed a nanoparticle composed of titanium oxide+ that creates self-cleaning paint
  • It can be added to any commercially available paint
  • The nanoparticles are photo-catalytically active and can trigger cleaning when touched by sunlight
  • The scientists are from TU Wien in Vienna and Universita Polytecnia delle Marche in Italy
  • They say their painted wall solution destroys indoor pollution in the air, makes the air cleaner and the wall cleans itself
  • They add the paint is also much longer lasting
  • The team is conducting more testing but they intend to commercialize it in the near future.
  • This research was just published in ACS Catalysis.

XPENG AEROHT's FLYING CAR GETS MORE APPROVALS

Source:  XPeng

  • China auto giant XPeng's AeroHT flying & driving car combo just received more certifications from the Chinese government as it gets closer to full commercial operations.  Here are some key facts:
  • This is a modular flying and driving combination
  • It's called the X3-F EV/eVTOL
  • The EV is modular and carries a flying eVTOL in the rear of the vehicle
  • A design certification has just been awarded to the eVTOL flying vehicle
  • The all-electric ground vehicle is 6x6 All-Wheel-Drive
  • The air vehicle is all-electric, vertical takeoff and landing flying vehicle
  • This vehicle is said to be very close to flight certification and customer deliveries
  • XPeng expects to start production of the air modular vehicle in 2025.
