May Be Final Iteration on the V12 Vantage Theme

Iconic British automaker Aston Martin just unveiled a convertible version of the powerful and speedy V12 Vantage.  Called the 2023 V12 Vantage Roadster, the vehicle is stunning and a big surprise as Aston Martin announced nearly six months ago that the V12 Vantage Coupe was the last of the dynasty cars that date back decades.  Apparently, Astin Martin, which was 007 James Bond's car of choice, is finding it difficult to say goodbye to the magnificent vehicle.

All Sold Out

The V12 Vintage Coupe and Roadster are virtually identical with the exception of the convertible roof and the rear wing, which is optional, not standard, on the Roadster.  The car bodies are ultra-aerodynamic and composed of carbon fiber.  Both are powered by Aston Martin's beefy, 5.2-liter, twin turbocharged V12 engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, that sends lots of power to the rear axle.  The vehicles pump out 690 hp and 555ft-lbs. of torque.  Top speed is 200 mph.  The convertible can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds: the coupe in 3.5 seconds.  Likely price is $350,000.  Only 249 convertibles and 333 coupes are being built and they are already sold out. Both are automotive classics.  Canadian billionaire and car enthusiast Lawrence Stroll is the owner of Aston Martin.  For more news stories like this, Daily Vehicle Briefing
